What is Remedial Massage Therapy?
Remedial massage therapy is a comprehensive deep therapeutic massage technique. It focuses on enabling the manipulation of soft tissues and the treatment of muscular dysfunction. With targeted manual techniques it can alleviate pain, and improve function and overall health.
Remedial massage therapy is aimed at treating musculoskeletal conditions and injuries. It is a systematic and scientific manipulation of soft and connective tissue for therapeutic purposes.
If you’ve ever been frustrated by a treatment that only offers temporary relief, remedial massage may be the answer. If you’re dealing with any injury, persistent muscle aches or postural issues, you need a treatment that gets to the root cause of your pain. A remedial massage can do exactly that.
How Does Remedial Massage Therapy Work?
Remedial massage therapy uses several techniques including deep tissue massage, myofascial release, and trigger point therapy. These techniques work by targeting the root of your problem to relieve tension and improve flexibility. They are tailored to individual needs and can be used individually or in combination.
Remedial massage therapy can be used to treat a range of conditions, including muscle imbalances, chronic pain, and sporting injuries. It can also be used to improve muscle recovery and reduce muscle tension. This can in turn work to prevent future injuries from developing.

What to Expect With Us
1
Decide on the duration of your massage
We offer 45 minute, 60 minute or 90 minute massage treatments.
If you have a particular body part you want to focus on (eg: tension in your lower back, stiffness in your neck or a specific area of injury), we can cater to this in 30 minutes.
For a whole-body treatment, we recommend a 60 or 90-minute treatment.
Identify any areas of concern
At Invigor Health, our biggest priority is helping you feel less pain.
That's why our therapist will always kick off your massage with a conversation to determine any existing injuries or areas of discomfort and tension in the body.
Armed with this insight, we are able to customise your massage experience so it can hone in on specific issues right at the source.
3
Personalised recommendations
During our consultation, we use clear, jargon-free language to break down any abnormality or susceptibility to injury and recommend modifications to improve efficiency and overall performance.
If we find an abnormality that requires further diagnosis or treatment, we can assist you with follow-up physiotherapy services.
Sports Massage
Sports massage is a targeted massage therapy designed to prevent and treat injuries. It can also be used to improve athletic performance, whether you’re an amateur or professional. It manipulates soft tissues like muscles, tendons, and ligaments, using techniques like deep tissue pressure, stretching, and friction.
Someone might get a sports deep tissue massage to relieve muscle tension, prevent or treat acute injuries, improve flexibility, enhance athletic performance, and speed up recovery after intense physical activity. Sports remedial massage can in turn improve joint mobility, reduce soreness and promote relaxation.
