Meet The Team

Ryan Dorahy Managing Director/Principal Physiotherapist

Our director Ryan, established Invigor Health because he saw the power of preventative physiotherapy in action.

Kicking off his career with 7+ years as a personal trainer, he has always been passionate about helping people live fit, active lives.

After transitioning into physiotherapy, Ryan spent several years working with elite athletes.

With clients like the St George Illawarra Dragons Rugby League team, the Illawarra Hawks Basketball team and the Country Womens’ Rugby League team, he supported high-performance sportspeople in their treatment and recovery, with the goal of getting them back on the field as quickly and efficiently as possible.

This gave him first-hand insight into the impact of rehabilitative exercise, strength and conditioning to not only relieve pain short-term, but to restore full function going forward.

Working with athletes at the top of their game, Ryan saw how their focus on genuine rehabilitation resulted in better outcomes and optimal performance.

Invigor Health is all about bringing these principles into the mainstream and putting preventative physiotherapy at the forefront.

These days, we’re working across Sydney and beyond, treating people of diverse ages, life stages and fitness levels.

The thing that they all have in common? They want effective, personalised treatment that resolves their pain and cuts down the risk of recurrent injury.

We’re here to teach you how to care for your body now, and for the long-term.

Our Approach

Right now, we’re witnessing a big shift in how we think about health and fitness.
In many ways, our lifestyles have gotten more sedentary. With desk jobs that have us sitting for long stretches and a sharp rise in screen-time, we can struggle to add more incidental movement to our daily routine.

But when it comes to our exercise regimes? We’re actually training harder than ever before.

High-intensity workouts and dynamic, explosive movement are dominating the fitness scene.

And while this style of work-out can have fantastic benefits, it can also put our bodies under a lot of strain. If we don’t balance it out with active recovery and rehabilitation, that’s when pain and injury can show up.

The good news?

It’s completely possible to lead an active lifestyle and stay resilient to injury.

We believe that physiotherapy is a powerful tool to make this happen.

Through a proven combination of targeted manual therapy and rehabilitative exercise, you can relieve pain, recover from injury and prevent reoccurrence in the future.
